in reply to: Investing and a downward market #18044
I was a little surprised to see the headline of this newsletter “Casino and Leisure Comeback.” I’m actually expecting those to be a little terrible considering the current economic climate. I’m currently focusing on metals, defense, energy shipping (I bought DLNG today) and stocks with a dividend.
in reply to: Series I Bonds #17414Is there a way to get the I Bonds without buying the actual bonds…a mutual fund or ETF?
in reply to: MACE launches new Investor Relations website #16983Although I play the Bowser plan by the book there are occasions where I think an opportunity is screaming at me…MACE at 0.30 is one of those times and I went in heavier than usual on it…
in reply to: Today’s Action….BOSC WLMS #16671Max used to have a program called “Incubator Stocks.” The theory was certain stocks were not eligible for the “after doubling don’t sell in the case of a 25% drop” rule. The theory being certain stocks were worth riding out the storm of a 25% drop because the long term looked so good…that’s how I think about LOAN and RADA.
in reply to: Today’s Action….BOSC WLMS #16667I had to jump into RADA over 3…with the economy coming back it looks too good here…I took a 1/2 position
in reply to: ENG and CLNE #16406Hit my double point on CLNE today…sold half…ENG is on steroids!!!
in reply to: NHLD warrants NHLDW #16192Hi Tse,
Thanks for the warning…I used to buy warrants all the time when Bowser followed them but haven’t since…I miss the warrants sometimes…I’m going to send Farris an email asking him for alerts when a covered stock has warrants available…glad this subject came upin reply to: Danger of Trailing Stops #16191I’ve had that happen to me a couple of times as well…it’s a trade-off…the convenience of a trailing stop loss vs getting screwed occasionally…up until now I’ve opted for the convenience but I think now I may just operate on alerts and make the call at the end of the day…
