Bowser Microcap Stock Index climbs 1.2%
Once again, the Bowser Microcap Stock Index closed the week up over 1%--for the third straight week. This time, the Index rose from February 8's close of 513.48 to February 15's close of 519.63--a 6.15 point jump (or 1.2%).
The Index rose each day Monday through Thursday--making 8 straight days of gains when including last week. This week's closing high was 520.36 on Thursday, February 14. On Friday, the Index pulled back 0.73 points or 0.14%. See the chart below for an illustration.
The Bowser Microcap Stock Index was once again top dog for the week. It appears that smaller stocks had a better week as the Russell 2000 was next in line with a 1.0% gain. The larger stock indexes were either up slightly or down slightly. Their results are as follows:
- Russell 2000 (^RUT)--UP 1.0%
- S&P 500 (^GSPC)--UP 0.1%
- NASDAQ Composite (^IXIC)--DOWN 0.0%
- Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI)--DOWN 0.1%
There were no changes to the Index's companies this week.
