This is a follow up re: warrants which were unfortunately discontinued from the Bowser Report last spring. I invested in both the Bank of America BAC-W and Bluebird BLBD-W warrants which were recommended at the time. Since the original recommendation, BAC-W has gone from .10 to a
high of 3.76. Right now BAC-W is trading at 3.10. Bluebird has appreciated 100% since they were recommended. Both of these warrants expire the end of October this year so they have more room to run. Essentially, warrants are a long term option which provide leverage above the stock value. It’s a great way to increase profitability at reasonable cost. There is a warrant newsletter available with database which includes recommendations for warrants traded in the US and Canada. The basic subscription is $39/month. http://CommonStockWarrants.com I have not subscribed yet but plan to do so shortly.
I also wanted to comment about NHLD, National Holdings which is now trading above the Bowser entry level ($4.62). NHLD offers its investors an opportunity to benefit from Venture Capital through its National Securities branch. According to the last BR weekly update, NHLD recently did a private placement with Marrone Bio Innovations, maker of bio pesticides. NHLD’s goal is to become financial partners with startups who are planning to IPO within 24 months. If you’ve ever wanted to become a Venture Capitalist, here is your opportunity. The exposure to high volitility, present in most VC businesses, is mitigated at NHLD since VC holdings are only one part of their portfolio.
NHLD is just another example of an outstanding recommendation from the Bowser Report. Kudos to the entire staff.
do you cover and recommend canadian stocks?
Rav – we do occasionally recommend Canadian companies. However, we only recommend foreign companies that trade on an American exchange.
